Amenities
The lodge has an outdoor swimming pool with a view of the bush veld and a shallow end. Guests gather at the intimate boma for themed dinner nights and around the shared lounge fireplace. The well-appointed bar serves wine, champagne, and special diet menus are available on request.
Rooms
Each of the 4 suites includes a wooden deck with views of the waterhole and bushveld. The air-conditioned suite has a minibar, an en-suite bathroom with an outdoor shower, and complimentary bathroom amenities. Only one suite (room 4) directly faces the waterhole, offering exclusive sightlines to wildlife.
Dining
The open-plan dining room under thatch has huge glass doors that open into the bush veld, and a breakfast deck overlooks the estuary. Boma dining occurs every night, featuring a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with themed menus. Fruits and refreshments are provided, and the bar offers a selection of wine and champagne.

Guided game drives and bush walks are led by the lodge's ranger and tracker, with sunset refreshments served during evening drives. The area around the lodge is home to Thornybush's largest elephant herd, visible during outings. Themed dinner nights and the sunset bush bar add to the daily schedule.

Waterbuck Game Lodge is situated in the southern part of Thornybush Nature Reserve, adjacent to a water estuary and waterhole. Hoedspruit's Eastgate Airport is 22 km away, with the lodge offering airport shuttle service. The reserve is known for its large elephant herd and diverse wildlife accessible from the property.
